Assalamu'alaikum! It was such a pleasure meeting so many of you at Eid Fest—thank you for the great conversations, thoughtful questions, and incredible support. As promised, here’s a full recap of everything we discussed about our program and how we partner with families on their homeschooling journey.

1. What exactly is this program?

We are a learning program for homeschooling families—not a private or accredited school. While parents retain the primary responsibility for their child’s education, we provide structured, in-person learning support in an Islamic environment. The curriculum we support is parent-selected at registration and aligns with Nevada homeschool requirements and national academic standards. Our hybrid model blends online coursework with hands-on guidance to help students stay on track, build mastery, and thrive, inshaAllah.

Our program offers:

  • A quiet, structured in-person environment
  • Small group learning: class sizes of 5–10 students, with no more than 15 per group
  • In-person support with core subjects such as Math, English Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies
  • Weekly progress assessments with trained Learning Coaches—educational mentors specializing in academic support and youth development

We work in full partnership with parents, supporting them as they fulfill their legal obligations as homeschoolers in Nevada.

2. What curriculum do you use?

We partner with Schoolio, an online platform whose curriculum aligns with Nevada homeschool requirements and national academic standards. Parents select this curriculum through our registration process and retain full responsibility for their child’s homeschooling status.

Each student’s learning is personalized. Through placement assessments, our Learning Coaches identify the student’s current level and curate a customized learning path, which may include mixing and matching different grade levels to meet their needs—whether to bridge learning gaps or challenge gifted learners.

3. What do the in-person sessions include?

In-person sessions are scheduled to take place on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 8:30 to 2:00 pm, and follow a structured format that includes:

  • Guided support with the Schoolio online curriculum
  • Reinforcement of core concepts through hands-on activities and collaborative exercises
  • Individual or small-group coaching based on weekly assessments
  • Concept mastery, retention checks, and student-led review

Each student’s progress is closely monitored by our Learning Coaches, who are trained in differentiated instruction, youth engagement, and supportive learning strategies.

4. Why choose the Microschool model?

Choosing a microschool-style model for your child(ren)’s education offers the best of both worlds: families retain legal and instructional responsibility under Nevada homeschool law, while children benefit from structured in-person learning support, meaningful peer interaction, and consistent routines in a small, nurturing Islamic environment.

This model is ideal for families who want to homeschool but may lack the time, confidence, or resources to do it alone. It allows parents to remain fully in charge of their child’s education while partnering with trained Learning Coaches for personalized learning pathways, academic enrichment, and targeted skill-building.

As a homeschooling parent in Nevada, you are responsible for:

  • Filing a Notice of Intent to Homeschool (NOI) with your school district
  • Submitting an Educational Plan that covers the required core subjects: English Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies

Our team provides clear guidance and support to help parents complete these steps. The Schoolio curriculum is designed to help parents meet these requirements.

6. How does Schoolio align with Nevada's homeschool requirements?

Nevada’s homeschooling law provides flexibility for parents to choose their own curriculum, as long as it includes:

  • English Language Arts
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Social Studies

Schoolio covers all of these core subjects and is structured to support independent learning with parental oversight. It also accommodates mixed-grade learning, which is helpful for students working at different levels in different subjects.

7. What if my child returns to public or private school later?

If you choose to re-enroll your child in public or private school, documentation from Schoolio can support appropriate placement:

Parents can use the Parent Dashboard to generate custom transcripts:

  • Log in and click More → View Transcript
  • Select a start and end date for the courses you want to include
  • Download and print your transcript as needed

Because Schoolio transcripts are date-based, not grade-based, you can easily document mixed-level learning and ensure your child receives credit for their completed coursework.

This helps schools accurately place students without repeating grades.

8. Are you a private school?

No. We are not a private or accredited school. We are a learning support center offering academic guidance and structure for homeschooled students. All legal and educational responsibilities remain with the parent, in accordance with Nevada homeschooling laws.

9. Who are the Learning Coaches?

Our Learning Coaches are experienced educational mentors who:

  • Have backgrounds in classroom teaching, youth education, or enrichment programs
  • Undergo additional training in Schoolio’s platform and academic strategies
  • Specialize in working with neurodivergent, gifted, and learning-gap students

They provide a blend of academic structure, motivation, and compassionate support to help each child thrive.

10. Who is this program for?

Our learning program is ideal for:

  • Homeschooling families seeking structure, routine, and expert support
  • Students who are gifted, behind, or neurodivergent and benefit from individualized pacing
  • Parents who want a balance of academic excellence and Islamic values without enrolling in a full-time private school or public school.
